You can use easily Shotwell to create a dynamic wallpaper with your favorite images. First, install Shotwell if you haven’t already:

sudo apt install shotwell

Then in Shotwell:

1. Import your photos (File > Import From Folder)
2. Select the photos you want in your slideshow
3. Click “File” > “Set as Desktop Slideshow”
